GODZILLA MINUS ONE - Second Trailer Reaction Video.

Here is the second trailer reaction video to Godzilla Minus One.  I am reacting to the second trailer that is, but I started and ended the video with style.  As you can see, the title card does not have the cartoon avatar.  It is a photograph of me Photoshopped there.

Instead of a bunch of Japanese text, it is all English text.  I did a lot of online research on how to ape (meaning copy) the style of the poster.  Here is the image.

In the words of Oscar Wilde:
"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness."

Enjoy.

GODZILLA MINUS ONE - Trailer Reaction Video.

Here is a trailer reaction video I made for the first time in a long time.  This is the trailer reaction video to Godzilla Minus One.

If you want to know what is the opening spoofing, it is spoofing the film The President and the Female Clerk (a.k.a. Woman in the Typhoon Area) (1948) by Shochiku.

Let's hope that I don't get in trouble with Shochiku.

Enjoy.

HOW KING KONG MET GODZILLA: THE LEGEND AND THE LEGACY - Deleted Scene/Outtake (2007).

Here is an outtake or deleted scene from HOW KING KONG MET GODZILLA (2007). I am interviewed Marcel Almeida (who was working at Audio Visuals at Bunker Hill Community College back then) about the film. He discovered how 1960s this movie was. It is interesting, but it was deleted for time constraints.

HOW KING KONG MET GODZILLA: THE LEGEND AND THE LEGACY (2007).

With GODZILLA VS. KONG causing some hype, it is time for me to bring up some treasure. Behold, my first documentary. It is a short one. Before HAIL TO THE KING - A KING NAMED KONG (2014), I made a documentary at Bunker Hill Community College. It was called HOW KING MET GODZILLA - THE LEGEND AND THE LEGACY (2007). It is a short one. Also, this is the first project where I used some Ken Burns effects.

Enjoy.

GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS (2019) - Trailer Reaction.

New trailer reaction video. This one is for GODZILLA - KING OF THE MONSTERS. No not the 1956 movie with Raymond Burr, the 2019 sequel to the 2014 movie. Just slap a number two between the words "Godzilla" and "King" and that way no one will get confused.

Enjoy.

How King Kong met Godzilla - The Legend and the Legacy

Seven years before Hail to the King - A King named Kong, I made a short documentary called How King Kong met Godzilla - The Legend and the Legacy.  This was an assignment at Bunker Hill Community College when I was taking my Visual Media Arts major.  I was assigned to make a documentary and put in some interviews.  The inspiration was from the Classic Media DVD's that had little documentaries as one of their extras.  I thought to myself, "What if Classic Media released King Kong vs. Godzilla on DVD and what would the extras be like?"  Here is the answer.

It has come to my attention that YouTube has been notorious for taking down videos.  I wrote in the description below that all copyrights are acknowledged so this is for educational purposes.  If it gets deleted (God forbid), don't worry, because it is available on Daily Motion.

Enjoy.

Boston Anime - Part 2: Matthew meets (the Stars of the Original) Godzilla! (Not Exactly)

After failing to meet my favorite stars on Friday, I decided to meet them on Saturday and boy what an awesome experience!  Before the movie, there was a questions and answers segment with Akira Takarada and Harou Nakijama, the original stars of GODZILLA (1954).

They talked about their thoughts on the original movie, the wonderful experience and their thoughts on the 2014 movie.  As a fan, it was amusing.

Now this was followed by the audience who wanted to ask questions to them.  I was ready!  I was going to ask a question to Mr. Takarada:  "What is it like working with American actors in the film KING KONG ESCAPES?"  I was going to ask Mr. Nakijama: "Is there a difference when you are playing Kong on KING KONG ESCAPES and Godzilla?  What is it like?"

However, when I came to ask, time was up.  As a result, this was followed by a screening of the original 1954 version of GODZILLA.  Uncut, undubbed, uncensored and unseen by American audiences.  This was the one by Rialto Pictures from 2004 (which I saw 11 years ago).
So here is a music video I made.

So that concluded it and tune in next time when I attend a lecture called: "Why your fan-base stinks."

Boston Anime - Part 1: Matthew meets Ultraman '80 (Watching It For The Very First Time)

I was at Boston Anime in April and let me tell you how it went.  It was great on Friday I was planning to see Harou Nakijama and Akira Takarada (the stars of the original GODZILLA),  to get autographs.  However, I was one of the people who was the over 100 in the line.  Only the first 100 people can get their autographs for free.  As a result, I ended up watching a special screening of the first four episodes of ULTRAMAN 80.  Let me tell you, it is an awesome show.  Some monsters come from the supernatural, some are created by science, others from unexplored places, some are created by atomic mutation, pollution or come from outer space.  In this show, the giant monsters of terror are created by twisted evil thoughts!

But the song in the closing credits is awesome.

You can catch some at this link.

So the next day, I decided to see the two guys in the flesh that is for another post in this blog.

Sorry, that this blog wasn't updated recently, but there will be more posts.  Stay tuned as Matthew B. Lamont meets Godzilla (as in the original actors of the film).
