As you know, today was SUPPOSED to the day that the film, GODZILLA VS. KONG was supposed to be released, but thanks COVID-19, we all got to wait until 2021. Speaking of which, kaiju that is, in 2015, Akira Takarada and Harou Nakijama (God bless his soul), made an appearance at Boston Anime. It was going to be a Q&A followed by a screening of the original GODZILLA (1954). I was going to ask them questions. For Mr. Takarada, what was it like to work with American actors for the film, KING KONG ESCAPES (1967). And for Mr. Nakijama, what was it like to play King Kong in the movie, KING KONG ESCAPES.
Sadly, the rug was pulled under my feet. Oh well. You can't always get what you want. Like that rematch we have been waiting for.
