No More Music Videos?! (You win Internet.)

My music video, Look Out For Number One by Tommy Faragher is kicked out of YouTube because the song and footage (which are taken from two episodes of Nickelodeon's The Loud House) are copyrighted, which is why it is gone.  I have given credit to the sources, but it got taken away.  So I tried DailyMotion.  It didn't work.  Finally I tried FaceBook and that backfired on me.  As a result, I might as well give up.  This leaves the burning question, Where's The Fair Use?  Maybe I should try more obsucre songs.  When I made Pink Lady's Monster music video, I got a copyright strike from Victor Music and I wrote back to the in English and Japanese saying that I am not making money off of it and look at it now, over one thousand views!  I tried to do it again with Look Out For Number One, and claimed that I am not making money off of it, and look what happened, they want it off.
My channel was born in 2006 and died in 2012.  I revived it in 2012 and I don't want it to die in 2018!
I got some original content to make.  I got create some animations to present and trailer reaction videos to do.  Those are coming this December so look out!

YouTube copyright strike! (No more music videos on YouTube.)

Ladies and gentlemen, it has come to my attention that I got another copyright strike from YouTube over my new music video, Look Out For Number One by Tommy Faragher.  I have given credit to the song, I have given credit to the clips featured there.  It seems that YouTube is having a thing with taking down your work, even thought you gave credit to it and convince them that you are not making money off of it.  This brings the burning question:  “Where’s The Fair Use?”
In all my work, I give credit to the songs and clips, well then, if YouTube wants to play this way, fine!
2006 - I had premiered my YouTube page with over 100 videos and 100 subscribers.
2012 - Taken down on February and brought back up in a new way in December.
2016 - Made a bunch of vlogs on the 2016 reboot of The Powerpuff Girls.  Nothing wrong here.  No clips from various sources, just a few recitations of the characters from the episode, and a few jokes and impersonations.  (If you want to know how they are taken down that is another story.)
2017 - My music video Monster by Pink Lady was taken down, so I wrote back to them saying that this music video was non-profit.  In other words, I am not making money off of it. I explained that on my claim, I followed the fair use laws and as a result they put it back which was a big hit in Japan with 1’192 views.
2018 - Tommy Faragher’s Look Out for Number One and I did the whole claiming again, and as a result UMG (the organization that owns the rights to the song), didn’t put it back.
That’s why there won’t be any music videos here.
I don’t want my channel to be taken down this year.  I got 70 subscribers and people loved my trailer reaction videos.  I present them in style.
Please, subscribe to my channel, the more subscribers I get, the better.

Proof of "Hail to the King - A King Named Kong" on Daikaiju Union TV.

As I said earlier, my senior thesis graduation film, Hail to the King - A King Named Kong premiered on Daikaiju Union TV, which is an online streaming service.  It got praised on facebook when it streamed on their Facebook page.

You couldn't believe the praise it got.
Speaking of Kong, elsewhere, good old Jack Buchannan got his feature-length fan film on G-Fest 25.
I wish him the best of luck.
I wish my documentary of G-Fest.  Someday.  Someday.  We all dare to dream.

By the way, Daikaiju Union TV was formerely Toho Kaiju Union TV because of the fact that they don't want to get sued by Toho Company Limited (the studio behind Godzilla).

UPDATE! (3-June-2018)

Two days ago, I met Adam Savje and asked him about the projector and he said that he hadn't tested it.  So, an idea came up.  I told him about the optical printer and the solution to this problem just in case the projector malfunctioned.  He said that we will give it a shot.  The testing will commence sometime after the 4th of July weekend.  Perhaps July 9th.  I hope so.  If the test works, then Dinosaur Daze will back in production!

Speaking of dinosaurs, this month is Jurassic June so check out my IMDB (Internet Movie Database) page to see my reviews of dinosaur films. I started two days ago, so check out this page every day to see the reviews on what I think of these dinosaur films.

Speaking of which (i.e. what my project Dinosaur Daze is going through), here is a video about Terry Gilliam's movies facing troublesome times.  He never gave up.  He persists and persists and persists and persists AND PERSISTS AND PERSISTS...  You get the point.

Hope for the best and wish me luck, because I need it.

Mermaniac (2014)

This video was made in Stop-Motion II class. In this class, you need to work in a team. I was not only in charge of visual effects but vocal effects too. I did some creature voices and the voice of Mermaniac and the old merman. However, the old mernan's voice was rejected and got replaced with the creature voices. Why did I do the voices for Mermaniac (which was never shown in the final cut), because everyone in my class, male or female refused to voice her! Sad eh, but someone has to do it! If Mel Blanc, Frank Oz, Paul Frees, Jerry Nelson, and Frank Welker can do female voices, so can I! Monty Python did some female roles too! So, I hope you enjoy it.

Enjoy.

Danny Darko (2014)

For Digital Toolbox II, I was assigned to work in a group to make an animation that involves darkness, my professor, Dan Rowe, and mustard. It was a messy job. While everyone was busy with the visuals, I ended up assigning myself doing the audio. I found this scary vampire howl from a horror video logo from the eighties. They liked it. Oh yeah, the CGI creepy face, that was Dan's animation.
Here it is.

New Music Video!!!!

That's right you heard me, a new music video, but this one is a dark one.
This is The Winning End by Joe Bean Esposito from the movie, Staying Alive (1983).
Side effects include nightmares and a bad night's sleep, so if you are prone to this due to the dark nature of it, then you have been warned!
(I love saying that.)
Here it is.
Enjoy.

By the way, I changed the intro and closing sequence.

UPDATE (1-May-2018)

It has come to my attention that yesterday I spoke to Adam, and he told me to see if there are any news  about the projector.  He said that he hasn't touched it because of he was busy.  He told me that at the beginning of June we are going to talk about it.
(I better come up with a solution for getting Dinosaur Daze off the ground as soon as possible.)

It is not going to officially premiere on television. It is going to premiere on Toho KaijuUnion TV.  It is an online streaming channel.

Or you can see it on it's official Facebook page.
Super thank you to Josef Meditz for putting up on the streaming channel.

So it comes after SON OF KONG which is 70 minutes, and that is an hour and ten minutes, so perhaps 9:40pm, so be ready at 9:30 pm or 9:35 pm.
Don't miss it!

NEW MUSIC VIDEO!

Sorry this is late, I was busy with other things like animation, so here is this nice music video I made.
It is Frank Zappa's "I am the Slime from Your Video" from 1973.
This was made in memory of Yoshimitsu Banno (the guy who created Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster [a.k.a. Godzilla vs. Hedorah] back in 1971).

Enjoy.

TEEN TITANS GO TO THE MOVIES - Trailer Reaction.

If THE EMOJI MOVIE is to 2017, then TEEN TITANS GO TO THE MOVIES is to 2018.
If THE MAGIC VOYAGE is to The Nostalgia Critic, then this movie is to me.
This is a bit of a ranty one.

Enjoy.

Matthew appears in another Jack Buchanan video!

As you know, I am a King Kong fan. It is no doubt.  I heard that earlier in the middle on the month, that Jack Buchanan, who made his own version of "King Kong" (not to mention giving me a shout out), is looking for some YouTubers who need to say answer the following questions.
1. Why are King Kong fan films so important?
2. Why is King Kong so inspirational?
3. Why are Big Jack Films/King Kong reviews important.
4. Motivational “You can do it” speech for Jack.

Here is my video.

So I did that video. Like others, my video got edited into the montage of Jack’s short, “Hope Rises”.

I appear at the 10:16 mark, the 11:31 mark, and the 12:53 mark.

Enjoy.

UPDATE!

Three of days ago, I texted Adam about the projector and he said that since he was busy, he will work on the projector at the end of April.  In the words of Charlie Brown, “Oh Good Grief.”

Friday, January 12, 2018

UPDATE! (Yes it is related to "Dinosaur Daze")

Sorry for the delay.
Yesterday, I got an e-mail from Adam saying that he will fix the projector he bought recently.
He told me to check back in mid Feburary.
Hopefully, it would be ready.  Don't expect a Superbowl Spot coming this year.
Here is hoping for the best.

Video Installation (2012)

This was a video installation assignment for Video II.  I shot myself in two different angles.  It was challenging, but hey, it was worth it.

Enjoy.

Counter Culture (2012)

This was the final assignment for Video II. Since I enjoyed making NOTHING ON TV, I wanted to use the three-screen projection system again, and I had a fascination with the counterculture (which came out of curiosity), I made this video, exploring goths, punks, and tattoos.

Enjoy.

Nothing on TV (2012)

This is a Video II assignment where we have to use the three screen projections projection. I made this because I was mad at the way television was going back then. There was reality TV dominating the airwaves and various shows with negative messages telling us to succumb to negativity. Not only in live-action but animation too. The cartoons not only had that, but they were messed up in terms of their stories, carried eyesore character designs and carry out shock moments (i.e. the stuff that can make Scooby-Doo look like Sesame Street). It made me miss the old days, where there was none of that stuff. Kids would watch cartoons unattended with no worries from the parents (because there was no TV-PG rating).
This is my exercise in social commentary.

Enjoy.

Trash Chutte Trouble (2012)

For Film II class I was assigned to make a short 16mm color film that uses color. I was going to use color gels for experimentation. Here, I chose, red for rage, yellow for fear and blue for sadness. The class liked it.

Enjoy.

Track Creeps (My Edit) (2012)

For Film II, the class has to be in a crew. I was the Sound-Man. I recorded the sound. This was my friend's Noah project. The next step was that the student is going edit their own version of TRACK CREEPS with style. It started out as a homage to Hammer horror films and ends by all means of Benny Hill (with a shade of goofiness). The original cut will be shown soon.

Enjoy.

Ten Object Project (2012)

For this Animation II assignment, we had to use random objects, change them from one thing to another without the aid of digital effects. It has to be done practically. I sought advice from Flip Johnson and he told me to look at the films of Jan Svankmajer. I did and I researched some of the works of Al Jarnow (if I were you, I would look up the film CELESTIAL NAVIGATIONS THE SHORT FILMS OF AL JARNOW). After following the advice and research, I made it and it worked. This was shown in one of the Animation All School Shows and it was a hit. Enjoyable with a capital E! I hope you enjoy it.

Oh Those Questions! (2011)

This was video assignment I made for a Video I or II I think. Here, I heard about the apocalypse is coming in like a year (but it didn't happen). The ending will get a reaction out of you.
Enjoy.

The Visitors 2: The Helping (2012)

For Animation II, the class was assigned to make a Chindogu project. It is a Japanese art of making a simple gadget that would solve everyday problems, but that gadget is really ridiculous. Mine was a face mask to protect you from people who sneeze and cough without covering their mouths! During production, I was violently ill with a cold. It was spring 2012, flu season was happening, and Disney's JOHN CARTER came out. With that, I decided to let the aliens make a comeback. I decided to make a sequel. When it was shown, I was better (no duh thanks to Alka-Seltzer).
Enjoy.
